We live in Hillsburgh, Ontario, just about 1 1/2 hours north west of Toronto. We have 1 son and 2 beautiful grandchildren. In 2001 we got our first Wheaten Wheatnbrook's Angel Eyes ( Cleo ) and entered the wonderful world of Showing dogs, and never looked back.
Cleo has produced 3 beautiful litters and is now enjoying her retirement and the lap of luxury sleeping in our bed of course.
Out of Cleo's first litter we kept Honeywheat's Terra Cotta who was the foundation under our Kennel Name Honeywheat.
Terra has produced some absolutely gorgeous puppies, and we have kept 2 girls from her past litters. Ch Honeywheat's Blonde Ambition- ( Maddie ) and our newest addition Honeywheat's Genie in a Bottle ( Hannah) who we are working on getting her Canadian Championship. Her most recent win was under Judge Virginia Lyne who awarded her Winners Bitch for her first 2 points, so we are on our way with her.
We then decided we needed to add our own boy to the crowd
and we chose a beautiful boy out of Wheatnbrook Kennel
aka Austin. Austin was a pleasure to show and achieved his Canadian Championship in 1 week end, he has a beautiful topline and beautiful colour, he is the father to Honeywheats Blonde Ambition.
Honeywheat's Blonde Ambition was bred to Fairfields Dancing in the Dark and produced 5 boys and 1 girl all beautiful reds. Out of this litter I took a chance and kept another boy because he was just to beautiful not to keep. We took both puppies Hannah and Conor to their first dog show in Pennsylvania, Montgomery all Terrier Show in October 2010, and they both exceeded our expectations as far as great travellers and as well super personalities.
Our Wheatens are loved family members that live in our household. We breed on a small scale and usually have 1 litter per year. We are active members of the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Association of Canada and Wheaten Fanciers of Ontario and Members in Good Standing with The Canadian Kennel Club going on 10 years, and the Open Registry with the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Association of America. Our goal is to breed for health and temperament and we spend a great deal of time going over pedigrees to do our best to ensure health.
If you would like to get a Wheaten puppy from us, be prepared to be patient and to be interviewed in person and if accepted to be a part of our lives for the life of your dog. As a responsible breeder we sell our puppies on non breeding agreements and they must be spay/neuter. If you are interested in entering the world of showing dogs we would be more than happy to discuss with you.
